The first free online catalog AD-DRESS NOW (c) ADAPTIVE CLOTHING DESIGNS for People with Disabilities If you have a clothing design idea to help tackle a challenge in dressing / undressing for a Person with a Disability or Illness, here is your chance to help someone who needs it! The reward will be in knowing that you have made somebody's life easier. Send in your design solutions! if you are not a design professional, don't worry, just send us a clear sketch or description and we can do the rest. The format in which to submit your designs is as follows:
Page 1 - State the disability for which the garment design has been created and the challenges it poses in dressing and undressing along-with your notes from start to finish. Kindly note that practicality and usability will be the most important criteria for your design to be chosen to be put up. Designs for adaptive inner wear, nightwear, casual wear, sports wear, formal wear, etc. are all welcome. You can also share adaptive ideas for fastenings, accessories including bags, footwear, etc.
Page 2 - Clear sketches/illustrations [flats] – Front, Back, Focus on Adaptive Details, fastenings, trims, etc. Non professionals can send us a clear drawing/typed description of the design solution.
Page 3 - Pictures [If available] of the person wearing the garment designed for them.
Not more than 3 pages per design. Your file size must not exceed 10MB Please send your designs to addressnowekansh@gmail.com. Your name and Email address will be published alongside your design. Similar designs will not be shared. Administrator's decision is final. Thank you, www.ekansh.org

The first PAN INDIA contest by EKANSH TRUST
in DESIGNING ADAPTIVE CLOTHING FOR
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
FINALE: Hyatt, Pune , 17th August 2019
15 teams were shortlisted for the finale out of 50 from different parts of India. 3 teams won the contest.
The process was as below:
Each team had 1 mentor with a disability, 1 expert - practising or teaching garment design and upto 3 students of fashion / garment design[optional].
4 teams had 1 mentor and 1 expert
46 teams from institutes across the country signed up with students as part of the teams.
They had to design a garment keeping the challenges faced by the mentor in mind. The ramp was walked by the mentors in clothes especially designed for them.
WE GOT A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THE PRINT MEDIA!
