Join the National Movement for Adaptive Clothing

Adaptive clothing is not a niche requirement. As we age, recover from injury, or live with disability, all of us may need adaptive clothing at some stage of life.

Following the success of our national Adaptive Clothing Design Contest and Fashion Show in 2019, we created and shared on our website, a free Adaptive Garment Design Catalog featuring adaptive clothing designs from across India.

Now, we want to build the next generation of solutions.

India's unique bespoke tailoring ecosystem gives us an extraordinary opportunity to make adaptive clothing accessible to every person who needs it. We are inviting Persons with Disabilities, senior citizens, caregivers, therapists, designers, tailors, manufacturers, researchers, educators, and students to contribute ideas, designs, and innovations for a new, practical Adaptive Garment Design Catalog that can be used by tailors across the country. Due credit will be given.

We also seek to work with fashion design colleges to make Adaptive Clothing Design a recognized part of fashion education. We will need help from our government to push for this, and for training tailors too.

We are looking for partners in:

Design • Research • Pattern Drawings • Sponsorship • Outreach  •Printing  •Distribution • Education • Government Departments •Coordination •Volunteering

You are invited to join us as collaborators. This form is for organizations and individuals who want to contribute to the catalog and push for a compulsory module on Adaptive Clothing Design and Manufacture training in institutes.
