SUBMISSION OF DESIGNS
PLEASE EMAIL [firstname.lastname@example.org]
ONE JPEG of your final garment design [FRONT & BACK] [file size that can be sent as attachment to email that can be printed clearly on A3 paper, no huge files] with a brief note on the Design process: challenge to solution.
Your design has to reach us by 7th July.
One design per team only.
*Garments to be made only by shortlisted teams for the finale.
An experienced and prestigious Jury will judge the entries and shortlist the best designs. Shortlisted teams will be informed.
The shortlisted teams must then make the garment for the mentor to wear at the finale in Pune.
[Except for the undergarment segment, where we will exhibit the garment separately]
Please maintain a journal [to be used incase your team is shortlisted] noting down:
> The difficulty expressed by the mentor in independent dressing
> The process of coming up with solutions
> The recommendations of the expert
> The final designing of the garment
You can also have pictures and brief videos to record the process.
The finale will be held on the 17th of August, 201
RULES: THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
Participants in any capacity [mentor/expert/student] can be only on one team, not multiple ones.*
CHANGE: There has been a change in this condition due to unexpected demands from colleges where one or two teachers/faculty members have focused on adaptive design and want their teams to take part. In the interest of the cause, we have allowed for it.
We sincerely thank the other teams who have adhered to the original rules.
* Please try and choose a mentor from your own city for ease. Short listed teams will have to create the garment and the mentor will have to model it [undergarment category exempted from modelling].
TWO TEAM CATEGORIES:
1. MENTOR [PwD] + EXPERT TEAM: Each team will consist of
2. MENTOR [PwD] + EXPERT + STUDENT TEAM : Each team will consist of the following members:
Each team can choose its own mentor or pick one from our list here or find one locally. EKansh Trust is not responsible for making teams.
* Please indicate if you are designing for Men/Boys or Women/Girls.
* Indian, IndoWestern and Western designs are welcome.
* You can choose any of the following:

MEET OUR MENTORS!!
STUDENTS ARE FREE TO ROPE IN THEIR OWN MENTORS with any disability that gets in the way of independently choosing and wearing clothes. Click here for list of disabilities .
Most of the mentors listed here are well known, award winning personalities with disabilities and their accomplishments can be read up online.
We request that students write to them and keep their queries polite and to the point. If the mentor is already part of a team, kindly try and find another.
You can visit local schools, NGOs, Senior Citizen homes, Medical Specialists, etc for references for mentors. Please ensure that the person has one of the 21 disabilities listed by the Government of India. It is always advisable to have local mentors and experts on board for convenience in coordination.
LIST OF MENTORS
MENTORS ARE WELCOME TO FORM THEIR OWN TEAMS.
STUDENTS AND EXPERTS CAN ALSO FIND THEIR OWN MENTORS. We are listing those mentors whom we know.
It is advisable to have team members from your own city or nearby, because short listed designs will have to be translated into garments to be presented/ modeled at the finale in Pune. Some of our mentors have found their teams already. Please do not contact mentors who have already got teams*.
