The first PAN INDIA contest by EKANSH TRUST
in DESIGNING ADAPTIVE CLOTHING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
FINALE: Hyatt, Pune , 17th August 2019
15 teams were shortlisted for the finale out of 50 from different parts of India. 3 teams won the contest.
The process was as below:
Each team had 1 mentor with a disability, 1 expert - practising or teaching garment design and upto 3 students of fashion / garment design[optional].
4 teams had 1 mentor and 1 expert
46 teams from institutes across the country signed up with students as part of the teams.
They had to design a garment keeping the challenges faced by the mentor in mind. The ramp was walked by the mentors in clothes especially designed for them.
WE GOT A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THE PRINT MEDIA!
The process was as below:
